Getting to Chang International Circuit

Chang International Circuit

Buriram is about 400km from Bangkok, approximately a five-hour drive by car. The circuit itself is to the south of the city, next to the Buriram United football stadium, and can be accessed from Routes 218 or 219.

There are multiple public parking areas at the circuit including at Sidestand A, Sidestand D and the Main Grandstand.

Motorcycle Parking is located at the Main Grandstand

    Coach & Bus

For long distance journeys, the bus is the most popular mode of transport in Thailand as it takes you almost anywhere in the country. The bus network is very dense and bus departures to and from the centre of Buriram are frequent.

The 10km ride from the centre of Buriram to the circuit should cost you under 150THB (£3.50), although this is likely to fluctuate during peak times. Always ask for the meter to be turned on, and haggling before starting the journey is recommended.

There are rapid, express, and ordinary trains from Bangkok–Ubon Ratchathani, Bangkok–Surin, and Korat–Ubon Ratchathani, all of which run through Buriram. State Railway of Thailand has online timetables and ticket booking available

The train network provides excellent value for money, although prone to being late and generally slower than other major cities, the vast majority of passengers are Thai and they often offer to share fruit or other food they have purchased with others passengers, a novelty if you are used to the rail networks in London or Paris!

3rd class is recommended as although it is less comfortable and doesn't have air-con the cars are windowless, providing stunning views on the journey across the country.

Buriram has a small domestic airport, offering flights to and from Bangkok with a flight time of approximately 1 hour. The airport is around 40 minutes drive to the north of the circuit.
