    Background

    The Motorland Circuit is located in Alcañiz, a municipality In the province of Teruel in the northeast of Spain. This town has been ruled by so many different civilizations and have so much history to show to its visitors. Two perfect proofs of this would be Los Calatravos castle, dated from the XII century, and Santa Maria la Mayor church, Gothic and Baroque church built in the XIII century.

    Alcañiz is close to Zaragoza, so it would be worth taking a trip to see the stunning Basilica de Nuestra Señora de la Paz, a Roman Catholic church built in the Baroque style.

    For the nature lovers, Parc Natural dels Ports is located about an hour away from Alcañiz. Here you will be able to find a beautiful sequence of limestone mountains and cliffs shaped by two rivers.

    International Travel

    Motorland Aragon is located between Madrid and Barcelona, you can either choose to fly through these two cities via the Barcelona (BCN) El Prat airport or the Madrid (MAD) Barajas airport. The Valencia (VLC) Manises Airport, located to the west of Aragon can also be considered as an alternative.

    Things To Do

    Despite the excitement and the fun of the MotoGP race, Aragon is a very quiet place. Surrounded by mountains with the Pyrenees in the north and the mountainous Sistema Iberico area to the south, Aragon is famous for its wonderful architecture, with a few of its monuments being part of the UNESCO patrimony.

    The basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar is one of the two major cathedrals of Zaragoza, a must-see!

    The Museo del Foro de Caesaraugusta is an archaeological site showing the remains of the former roman forum.

    • Cathedral and Tapestry Museum

    With its 63 Flemish tapestries and 6 pieces of heraldic embroidery, the cathedral is home to the most important collection of the kind in the world.

    • Palacio de la Aljafería

    Discover this wonderful 11th-century Islamic palace, which is currently used as the headquarters of the Aragonese Parliament.

    • Iglesia de San Pablo de Zaragoza

    San Pablo is a wonderful gothic building created in the 13th Century.
