Mugello 2012

Poggio Secco
By Mark Daytona675, 25 Jul 2012
Great atmosphere. Italiain fans are mad as a box of frogs!
Best advise on circuit parking (bike) is to ride to the Scarpia entrance and take your bike right into the circuit. Ride around to your grandstand and park up, awsome. We parked directly behind the grandstand no worries.

Getting to the track was a little difficult as the signage was to be honest very poor, and what signage there was was not clear, the circuit was great, plenty facilities and very good well maintained toilets, the views of the race track are excellent with many corners etc viewable from one point.

Mugello 2012

Centrale Silver
By Julian Piggott, 23 Jul 2012
Dear Paul. Our trip to mugello was a great success. now we have been three times and each time gets better. we arrived at the track at 6.45 am so to miss the traffic and we got parked easily. we had a drink and some breakfast trackside, waiting for the grandstand to open and when we got to the seats we were amased how spectacular the view was. not only can you see the track well from your seat ,you can walk around on the viewing platform which allows you to look at the start and finish straight . got some great videoes and pictures. we shall definatley go again and book with youself. i noticed the atendance was down considerably but the atmosphere was still great.

MOTO GP MUGELLO

General Admission
By Can't Wait Til Next Time!, 22 Jul 2012
This was a brilliant 1st taster of a Moto GP race (maybe helped by the sunshine). Tickets were general admission i.e. sit on the grass, not the most comfortable way to enjoy but expensive enough - have to save up next time to afford the seats or dream about entry to the paddocks! However think the view from the grass bank may be better than the stands so can't complain too much and really enjoyed atmosphere. Race for GP was quite uneventful in this instance but the Moto 2 & 3 races were just excellent. Being able to walk on the whole track after the race was really enjoyed by all. Two daughters commented best day ever! so must have been good.

Great race wknd, rode over on my cbr 600. I went through the hills from bologna to the track on race day and the roads were fantastic, Italians helped wiv directions but with a good zoomed map of the area u can't go wrong. Loved every minute of it. Very very busy tho!

An awesome experience

Poggio Secco
By Nick, South Wales, 20 Jul 2012
My first GP and I'm not sure it will be beaten. The circuit is in an amazing location and I had not appreciated it was in a natural bowl that enabled you to see 60% + of it from your vantage point. An amazing atmosphere, full of passionate Italians and seeing Rossi on a Ducati in front of his home crowd is something I'll never forget. A must for any GP fans.

Brilliant service

General Admission
By Tania, 18 Jul 2012
Mugello was an amazing experience definitley will book again with bookmoto.com. It makes it a lot easier for your tickets to be collected by them and posted to you as it saves you time and having to travel the day before to pick the tickets as you don't pick them up from the circuit its from somewhere else and we ran in to others who had problems on the day. Best tip if staying in florence get the train from Firenze Santa Maria Novello train station, it costs €8 euro's return from there to san lorenzo station and there is a free shuttle directly outside once you arrive at the station to the circuit. The earlier you go the better, there is a train that leaves at 7:29 am.

Moto GP 2012

Poggio Secco
By Lesley, 18 Jul 2012
It was disasppointing that there were not other activities on track when the racing was not on. There was a lot of times sitting doing nothing. I have been to the UK Moto GP and there is always some activities on the track and surrounding areas.

Terrific weekend at circuit, Friday to Sunday. Difficult circuit to get to, from Florence.

Poggio Secco
By Bruce Watson , 17 Jul 2012
Most enjoyable days at the circuit with full atmosphere of sight and sounds which cannot be fully appreciated from the television screen at home. However the transport facilities, each day from Florence, where we stayed left a bit to be desired. Bus link from Scarperia left a long walk and the train from Florence to Borgo San Lorenzo, even longer although there were taxis available, but not nearly enough for a several thousand fans, especially after the race on Sunday. Perhaps the circuit might consider organising some dedicated facilities with the local transport authorities.

mugello moto gp

General Admission
By Kevin Seville, 17 Jul 2012
Good circuit would go again, only problem was getting from railway station to and from ground. When got to railway station free bus was waiting to take people to circuit which did so far still a bit of a walk, but was not too bad. Leaving circuit no bus available difficult to find station and hell of a walk to station. Would be good to have a bit of information about getting to and from circuit if possible. Thanks

Mugello weekend

Poggio Secco
By Pete, 17 Jul 2012
The view we had of the track was fantastic and the whole weekend was awesome. Toilet facilities and food outlets werent the best but this was a minor detraction. Was slightly dissapointing that crowd numbers were down but as my first time at a live motoGP this didnt detract too much either.I got to see the doctor so that was all that mattered!!! Will definitely be going again.

Brilliant!

Centrale Silver
By Steve, 16 Jul 2012
The view from the Centrale Silver is superb as you can see the pitt lane and start on one side then walk across and see the track too, you have the best of both worlds. The atmosphere in Mugello is amazing, the people are crazy, you have to see it to believe it! After the race they let everyone on the track, total madness but brilliant!

Fantastic, we had brilliant weather, good racing, food and drink not expensive. Getting in and out was very easy, at the end of racing the circuit was opened and you could walk / ride round the hallowed turf.

Mugello July 2011

General Admission
By Patricia D, 16 Jul 2011
Used camper van to park Friday to Monday - the whole experience was abs mad - sat in a q for an hour to get in at midnight on the Friday evening and followed another camper van and parked next to them but found ourselves the next morning in the best place to camp on hard standing. It was extremely noisy till 4 in the morning - quiet for 3 hours and then it all started again. Used ear plugs ! Folk were revving engines even chain saws! The toilets and showers were unusable (filfthy) but we had our own facilities. The racing seemed secondary to a lot of people - everyone just riding around on bikes, scooters all the time having fun it was just great Saturday and Sunday - we had the best experience and found ourselves a good spot to sit by a television screen by the track. Would get grandstand tickets next time though.
