Mugello July 2011

Used camper van to park Friday to Monday - the whole experience was abs mad - sat in a q for an hour to get in at midnight on the Friday evening and followed another camper van and parked next to them but found ourselves the next morning in the best place to camp on hard standing. It was extremely noisy till 4 in the morning - quiet for 3 hours and then it all started again. Used ear plugs ! Folk were revving engines even chain saws! The toilets and showers were unusable (filfthy) but we had our own facilities. The racing seemed secondary to a lot of people - everyone just riding around on bikes, scooters all the time having fun it was just great Saturday and Sunday - we had the best experience and found ourselves a good spot to sit by a television screen by the track. Would get grandstand tickets next time though.

What an amazing experience Tickets arrived 3 weeks before Race weekend and off we set to ride to Italy. Got there Friday pm pitched tent did chain the bikes together but otherwise left everything in the tent(except for important stuff which came with us in tank bag. Read various blogs about leathers being pinched etc but not our experience. Great people friendly exciting race the Italians are nuts but in a good way, the circuit is fantastic we were on Rossi hill with a screen. off to others now. Will use site again . Thanks

Not the most accessable circuit but the best one by far. An absolute must if u like Moto GP. Stop reading reviews & just book for next year like i'm doing

Vale Rossi Weekend!

We booked seats in the Poggio Secco stand which proved to have great views over most of the race track, although we couldn't see the start/finish line we found the long straight directly in front of us was the part of the track most of the racers used to practice their race starts - fantastic. Depending on where you park (get there early) be prepared to have a substantial walk around the track to reach the stand - all part of the Italian MotoGP experience! We strongly suggest when ordering tickets you also order lanyards and ear plugs - both very useful - infact take extra 'ear defenders' as the noise both on and around the track is tremendous!

do lots of research into the area and access to the circuit then it wont come as a shock when your dropped off by the curtesy bus a couple of miles from the track which is up and down hills wear good shoes if you take this route. taxi from borgo station 10 euros per person each way but less walking chaos inside circuit with bikes cars and people walking all sharing sme pathways but still a great weekend an experience not to be missed.

Fantastic

A fantastic event with very pasionate fans. If you are camping you will get a weekend capmping ticket but because camping is within the circuit you can not camp unless you have a ticket for that day, so you can not turn up early and get set up. There is a free car park oppisite the entrance. It took us 5 1/2 hours to get out of scarperia after the race so its worth staying on untill Monday. TAKE EAR PLUGS.

great weekend, really enjoyed the experience. Just one thing, directions to the track would be helpful from various approaches to the race circuit. We were staying in Florence and with limit Italian it was very hard to find the circuit, but overall a great experience.
Just wondering could you send me information about camping with a motorhome in the megello circuit for 2012, Thanks

Awesome circuit

The location is the most beautiful ever location for a racetrack,the view of the track was good from pretty much anywhere! Atmosphere was electric!
Downside was serious lack of toilets and the fact that they were just a dirty whole in the floor! Disgusting considering its 2011 and we paid £112 each for tickets!

The commentary through the speakers was too loud, a lot of spectators also complained about it. Toilets were not enough-long queues. Otherwise excellent experience .

park furthest field away from circuit as poss if travelling by car, bit of a walk but when leaving well worth it, we had 45 min walk but 15 min wait to pull out onto very busy single lane road. would definately go again and pay for poggio secco grandstand its excellent, what a view of track!!
