A very memorable day

Roving Grandstand

The day at Silverstone was very enjoyable, there was an excellent atmosphere in the roving stand, and the facility was very welcome due to the inclement weather. We had a great view and the race spectacle was thrilling. Unfortunately the tedious three hour plus exit from the car park spoilt the end of a very enjoyable day.

Good weekend

Roving Grandstand

Roving tickets excellent, did friday, saturday and sunday and friday helped to determine where best to sit for the races. We got in early which helps, no queues at 7.30 in the morning! Facilities good I thought for food and toilets, only complaint is leaving the circuit with 50,000 other people!

The speakers for Luffield C not working on Friday and Saturday. We complained to various officials including the information tent and were told they were not responsible and had no idea who was or who to ask.

Car Park

Roving Grandstand

It took me and my party 2 hours to get to Silverstone in the morning.
It took us 5 hours to get home.
Even though when we left at bout 5:00 and our car park was pretty much empty the marshalls wouldnt let cars out of the car park despite the traffic on the road was moving.

Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend's experience. It was very well organised and accessible. My only slightly negative point (and is a fairly minor one) is that the viewing areas could've been a little better. The events were very enjoyable, especially the stunt show. Well done to everyone involved. I will certainly be back.

The only slight thing that my husband commented on was the fact that no one on the gate seemed to know where they had to park and as he took his disabled dad, they did have a bit of walk. Other than that they had a fantastic day.

Leaving the Event

No stewards to control vehicles leaving the car park areas resulting in a chaotic and frustrating end to the day. It took us 1.5 hours to actually get to the main road and a further 2 hours to reach the roundabout to head towards the M1. With adequate stewards controlling traffic in an orderly fashion the situation and time it took to leave car park could have been greatly reduced.

Due to what I can only describe a mayhem I would think long and hard before attending another event at Silverstone (probably along with thousands of others)

Terrible Access to the Track

The ticket jacket states that a 'Grand Prix' bus would provide transportation everyday from Northampton. There was only a local bus (not a dedicated shuttle for the race) that ran on Fri and Sat. It took an hour, only dropped you off a mile from the track, and didn't even run on Sun. If it wasn't for taxis there would have been no way to get to the race on Sun. By the way, the round-trip bus fare is £8.30 and a taxi from Northampton or Milton Keynes will cost you £40 (you can prob find some people to split the fare though.)

My client, Mr. Daniel Dimich, was thrilled with the Sunday program that featured Ducatti two seater motorcycles between 10:00am-10:30am. After visiting with several other spectators, he discovered that rides could be purchased as the 2nd passenger on the Ducatti's. He would like more information as he is interested in becoming a future passenger. In addition, can you confirm that the cycles are moving to 1000 cc in 2012? Finally, Mr. Dimich really appreciated the connecting bus service from the parking lots to the spectator stands.

A fantastic weekend

We had a great weekend, even though it wasn't the best weather. The campsite was brill and fantastic value. Queing for toilets at the circuit on race day was a bit of a nightmare but is to be expected at any major event. Food and beverage prices a little high, and not great quality. Overall we had a fab time and would def return :) an amazing experience.

I WENT WITH 3 FRIENDS AND WERE VERY DISAPOINTED WITH THE LACK OF GRAND STAND AVAILABILITY FOR THE ROVING TICKETS. IT WAS AS THO SILVERSTON HAD RELEASED 3 X MORE TICKETS THAN SEATS AVAILABLE, AT LEAST THREE STANDS WERE TOTALLY CLOSED AND WE HAD TO WATCH THE MAIN RACE FROM A STANDING POSSITION AT THE END OF THE OLD PIT STAIGHT WITH NO VIEW OF A LARGE TV SCREEN.

many thanks to you team forgetting me out of a hole regarding odering the tickets,or should i say thinking i had ordered them,i believe it was mary who kindly bailed me out,many thanks to mary and your team,would recomend u to anybody, please ask silverstone to sort the toilets and the car parks out,we took well over an hour to get to the main road from the car park field!!!!! not unlike last year!!!! many thanks again

A nice weekend, shame for the rain

Very good experience, it is the second time for us. The rain wasn't pleasant, but nobody can do anything about it. Good facilities in the woodlands campsite, a lot of improvement since last year. Access not too easy, and the Sunday afternoon departure was a bit of a nightmare since it took 1 hour only to leave the campsite. Overall it was enjoyable.

Wonderful weekend, with great facilities.
Access to track within 5 minutes.
Only let down was leaving the track. It took 2 hours to do less than 1 mile. There were no stewards on duty to make traffic flow.
