AUSTRALIAN MOTOGP

Introduction

The Phillip Island Circuit has breathtaking scenery and beautiful ocean views, and as one of the fastest, most fluid tracks on the calender, it continues to provide some of the most spectacular racing in the MotoGP season.

Airport

Melbourne Tullamarine Airport hosts both domestic and international flights and is located about 22km north-west of the city centre. Taxis and a 24-hour Skybus run between the airport and central Melbourne, or car rental can be found in the short stay car park. International visitors may find it necessary to fly via Sydney Airport.

Accommodation

There are many and varied accommodation options available in Phillip Island. These range from hostel accommodation, caravan parks, motels to bed and breakfast and private short-term holiday home rental.

Getting to the Circuit

You may want to consider the following options in getting to the circuit:

• Shuttle Bus - a regular shuttle bus service will operate at Gate 1 of the circuit to various stops around Phillip Island and San Remo during the event.
• Car - parking is available at the circuit at a charge. Directions to Phillip Island are sign posted from the Monash Freeway, via Citylink or Eastlink tollways from Melbourne.
• Taxi - a taxi rank is located at Gate 1.
• Ferry - ferry services will operate from Stony Point to Cowes, connecting with a shuttle bus to and from the circuit. Parking is available at Stony Point. Ferry tickets must be pre-booked online at www.interislandferries.com.au/gp.
